Steve Blank Presentation at Start Up Lessons Learned Conference

After working for a start up that didn't get off the ground, and now one that is kicking butt, I still have trouble describing what it is that I love about the atmosphere in an early stage company. Steve Blank's clear and precise style offered some help recently. I love the search, more like a quest, to create value for your customers and then define and replicate the value you are creating. Once it is identified and everything is lining up to make it repeatable it is still challenging and exciting, but it isn't as magical. I find slides 47-51 ("why start ups aren't run by accountants") especially clear. I identify very strongly with the first set of characteristics, and less so with the second and especially the third.
